Grapefruit Trees

Grapefruit trees were first discovered on the island of Barbados in the Caribbean where they grew as a hybrid between the sweet orange and the pomelo. Today’s grapefruit trees produce fruit that is both tart and sweet, eaten fresh, used in fruit salads, and valued for its refreshing juice.
