Water when the soil is dry to 2 inches deep and keep the ground under the tree free of weeds and grass. Growing a Mallika Mango Tree in a container is also possible and the small trees respond well to potted life.
To grow a Mallika Mango Tree in a pot, start with a 3 to 5 gallon container with drainage holes. Pot the new tree in rich potting soil with perlite so the soil drains well. Do not overfill the pot with soil, but leave 2 to 3 inches of room at the top of the pot for watering.
